Our portfolio consists of 50 geographically diversified gaming and related facilities and amenities well-positioned across the nation.

About Us

World class grandeur, amenities and experience.

Gaming and Leisure Properties is the nation’s first real estate investment trust focused on acquiring real property assets leased to gaming operators.

World class grandeur, amenities and experience.

Our portfolio of 50 premier gaming assets is geographically diversified across 17 states. Our tenants include Penn National Gaming, Caesars Entertainment, Boyd Gaming Corporation, Casino Queen, and Bally’s.

Through innovation and a proven management team that pioneered the gaming REIT space, we have leveraged a wealth of industry knowledge to deliver consistent year-over-year total shareholder return while enhancing the strength and stability of our diversified portfolio of premier gaming assets.

We expect to grow our portfolio by pursuing opportunities to acquire additional gaming facilities to lease to gaming operators through triple-net lease arrangements. We also anticipate diversifying our portfolio over time by acquiring properties outside the gaming industry. The expertise and industry knowledge of our management team will allow us to secure additional avenues for growth beyond the gaming industry and allow us to pursue other acquisitions that may prove complementary to our existing assets.

Gaming and Leisure Properties has a best in class management team that positions the Company for continued growth as a gaming-focused real estate investment trust and diversification beyond the gaming space. Our management team possesses decades of experience and a wealth of industry knowledge and insight, as well as the creativity to deliver continued innovation and growth.

Our corporate environment fosters a sense of community and well-being. We encourage an open feedback culture.

We believe that environmental and community stewardship is an integral component of growing shareholder value. We are committed to fostering a corporate culture that encourages and seeks the betterment of GLPI and the communities in which we operate or conduct business. With this in mind, we endeavor to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices that create long-term economic value for our shareholders, employees and other constituents.

Our corporate environment fosters a sense of community and well-being. We encourage an open feedback culture.

Social Responsibility

We strive to maintain a corporate environment that fosters a sense of community and well-being and that encourages our employees to focus on their long-term success along with the long-term success of the Company.

Corporate Culture and Employee Engagement Highlights

  • Our corporate environment fosters a sense of community and well-being.
  • Senior level management conducts “town-hall” style meetings with corporate employees to address topics such as business operations, strategy, and market conditions.
  • We encourage an open feedback culture.
  • We are passionate about developing and growing our talent. For example, our Leadership Academy cultivates management and leadership skills to empower our employees to succeed in their careers.
  • We provide tuition reimbursement, professional development reimbursement and internal growth and advancement opportunities.
  • We offer resources to our employees to encourage healthy habits, such as tobacco cessation and health coaches for those employees with certain chronic conditions including, but not limited to, diabetes and asthma.
  • We are focused on cultivating a diverse and inclusive culture where our employees can freely bring diverse perspectives and varied experiences to work.
  • We implemented an Inclusive Workplace Policy to foster inclusivity and acceptance throughout our organization. Enabling our employees to perform at their best while being themselves is fundamental to our continued success.
  • We seek to hire and retain highly talented employees and empower those employees to create value for our shareholders. In our employee recruitment and selection process and operation of our business, we adhere to equal opportunity employment policies and provide training on diversity and inclusion.
  • As of December 31, 2020, approximately 50% of our employees identify as women and 51% of our employees are minority.
  • We participate in educational and recruitment outreach programs including local college and university job fairs, veteran career expos, on-site open house recruitment and internship opportunities.
  • Our Responsible Gaming Policy facilitates employee and customer awareness on responsible gaming.
  • We take an active role in supporting the communities in which we operate by partnering with local and national organizations to administer charitable contributions, provide community service and organize the donation of goods to assist local families in need. Through our non-profit partnerships, we partner with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity to build and improve places for families to call home, the Salvation Army, through its Angel Tree program, and the United States Marine Corps Reserve, through its Toys for Tots program, to provide new clothing and toys to children during the holidays and Ray of Hope to facilitate the donation of new or gently used coats.

Environmental Stewardship

We promote sustainable practices and environmental stewardship throughout the organization, with a particular emphasis on energy efficiency, recycling, water conservation, indoor environmental quality and environmental awareness.

Sustainability Highlights at our Corporate Headquarters and Owned Properties

Our focus on sustainable environmental practices is demonstrated by how we manage and operate these buildings and plan for the future, including, for example:

  • We promote environmental and energy efficiency awareness at our corporate headquarters and encourage practices such as powering down office equipment at the end of the day and recycling paper waste.
  • Energy efficient and LED lighting and motion sensors are installed at our owned properties to conserve energy and reduce costs.
  • We partner with third party environmental consulting firms focused on helping clients improve their energy efficiency to develop programs to reduce energy consumption and environmental footprints.
  • A sophisticated rain water management system is installed at our corporate HQ to help reduce flooding and pollutants in water run-off.
  • Our Corporate Headquarters and owned properties are smoke free environments.

Sustainability Highlights at our Tenants’ Properties

The remaining properties in our portfolio are leased to gaming operators in triple-net lease arrangements, meaning each gaming operator is ultimately responsible for maintaining the buildings, including controlling their energy usage and the implementation of environmentally sustainable practices. We are committed to promoting awareness, influencing and engaging with our tenants where possible, regarding sustainability practices and environmentally beneficial energy solutions. As such, many of our tenants have implemented similar efficiency and conservation measures in recent capital expenditure projects, including:

  • Cost-saving indoor and outdoor LED lighting retrofits
  • Installation of guest room occupancy-based thermostats
  • Building management systems upgrades
  • Installation of electronic vehicle charging stations

Corporate Governance

Our Board of Directors is collectively responsible for the leadership, management and long-term success of the Company. Our Board strives to maintain a governance environment where the interests of all stakeholders, including the impact of our operations on the environment, and the social well-being of our employees, the local community and broader society, are considered in developing policies and making decisions intended to ensure the long-term prosperity of the Company.

The Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee of our Board of Directors is formally responsible for overseeing and reviewing the Company’s strategies, activities, policies and communications regarding sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) related matters and make recommendations to the Board, including reviewing and recommending to the Board for approval, any guidelines, documents or policies, or any changes thereto, that comprise the Company’s ESG framework.

Responsible Gaming

PROMOTING RESPONSIBLE GAMING IS A CORE VALUE OF GAMING AND LEISURE PROPERTIES, INC.

Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. (“GLPI”) wants all of our casinos’ customers to have fun and to enjoy the casinos safely. We are committed to a policy of responsible gaming. While we recognize that the overwhelming majority of customers at our casinos enjoy our various forms of gambling and non-gambling amenities responsibly, we also understand that there is a small proportion of the population who do not.

To protect them, and others affected by their behavior, our casinos have established a set of policies and guidelines modeled after the American Gaming Association’s Code of Conduct for Responsible Gaming. The “Code” establishes minimum standards that address problem gambling, underage gambling, improper use of alcohol, responsible marketing and advertising and the prevention of unattended minors.

Our casinos use a variety of approaches to promote Responsible Gaming including employee training programs, customer awareness campaigns, self-exclusion and financial restriction programs, written procedures for recognizing and managing these issues, use of outside experts, and ongoing monitoring and review to gauge the effectiveness of these programs.

RECOGNIZING THE PROBLEM

It is widely believed that 1-2% of all gamblers are compulsive and that most experience varying degrees of depression and problems in their lives. Participating in games of chance becomes a self-medicating distraction, providing only temporary relief from underlying problems associated with compulsive behavior.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE A GAMBLING PROBLEM?

Review the following questions:

  • You have often gambled longer than you had planned.
  • You have often gambled until your last dollar was gone.
  • Thoughts of gambling have caused you to lose sleep.
  • You have used your income or savings to gamble while letting bills go unpaid.
  • You have made repeated, unsuccessful attempts to stop gambling.
  • You have broken the law or considered breaking the law to finance your gambling.
  • You have borrowed money to finance your gambling.
  • You have felt depressed or suicidal because of your gambling losses.
  • You have been remorseful after gambling.
  • You have gambled to get money to meet your financial obligations.

We value your trust and respect your confidentiality. As a general practice we do not provide any online information, or any information gathered through forms, applications or other means to outside third parties, unless otherwise designated. We do not sell or rent any information gathered online, or in individual property players’ clubs, to any outside organization.

This Privacy Policy will tell you what information we collect about you and about your use of the websites and services. We urge you to read this Privacy Policy carefully.
